Overview
This is the third of four covers I produced in 1989 for First Publishing for a four-issue limited series comic, Sensei. This issue tells of the adventures of Tadashi Natori, a time-travelling martial artist who finds himself forced to battle the Shorin leader in the future — while in Old San Francisco he must run a gauntlet for his life.
I enjoyed experimenting with different media during the production of this series. This image is oil paint with highlights in oil pastel on artboard.
